When Jesus said there is more joy in giving than in receiving, he turned our vision of the good life on its head. Through the practice of generosity, we tap into God’s joy, find freedom from greed through contentment, and embody God’s concern for those in need. Through this 4-session course, we will both learn about and practice generosity.
The gathering times for the course will most likely be discussion-based, and the teaching videos will be watching prior to class each session. The sessions will align with S2 and S2jr. to provide some accommodations for parents who want to participate. Because of this, the gathering sessions will be roughly 45-50 minutes.
Before you register, please know that you will be encouraged to actually do acts of generosity, and will also discuss what it was like. The course will not have a legalistic tenor to it; however, we will step out together to stretch ourselves in the practice of generosity. Also, because of the limited number of spots, we ask that you only register if you are able to make all 4 sessions.
